Congregational Care

Here’s a brief summary of what our Congregational Care Team does here at FBC.

Caring for the congregation through a variety of activities is the focus of this team, which is carried out by the team with the assistance of small groups.

Visiting those hospitalized or ill at home provides a link to the church family through one-on-one contact.  A card ministry which sends notes and cards to those absent, ill, or at the loss of loved ones is yet another aspect of this team’s ministry.  Watch Care Meals provides a meal to those returning home from hospital stays, at the birth of a baby or in instances where assistance is needed.  College students and military personnel are remembered with cards throughout the year to maintain contact with their home church.  Military personnel also receive Christmas gift boxes as a thank you for their service.  A fellowship for single, widowed and divorced women is accomplished via Les Femmes with monthly dinning out experiences.  Communion to shut-ins is provided to those home bound or in nursing homes.  Calls are made to members who might be experiencing periods of difficulty to offer encouragement and understanding.
