Easter Outreach Project

Our Easter Outreach Project was a huge success.  We delivered 142 bags with personal hygiene items and candy to St. Paul’s Community Center for them to distribute on Easter.  The center houses up to thirty nine homeless and feeds up to 150 people each day.

Thank you to all who donated items to this project.  A special thank you goes out to Brookview Dental in Sylvania for their donation of toothbrushes and to Dr. Michael Mack in Holland for the donation of toothpaste.  With all of us working together we were able to reach out and let others know we care.

Cupcakes Galore!!

Well, First Baptist, you DID IT AGAIN!  Two weeks ago, we put out the request for 20 dozen cupcakes to distribute to 10 area families for a Valentine treat.  Not only did you come through with the 240 requested, but you added 160 more!  Last Sunday, we had 400 cupcakes donated and delivered; that’s over 33 dozen!  This outreach project was addressed with overwhelming support and YOU should be proud of the AWESOME job you did.  Thank you to everyone that donated cupcakes and to those who delivered them to the individual families!  THANK YOU!!!

St. Paul’s Community Center Outreach Project UPDATE

Thank you to those of you who donated to the collection of hats, gloves, scarves and socks for St. Paul’s Community Center.  We were able to collect 108 items of warmth to pass on to the Community Center for distribution to those in need.

St. Paul’s Community Center is a non-profit organization which provides support services to persons who are homeless and severely impacted by mental (SPMI), physical, emotional or financial indigence.  The agency’s goal is to provide stabilization to the SPMI population and to develop and implement a plan of recovery which will enable them to become self-sufficient and productive in the community.
